I often paint in response to dreams. Early in the pandemic I woke up one morning feeling as if I'd been talking in my sleep. I had no memory of the dream, only that I had been urgently asking "Where will you go? How will I find you?" Out on a walk later that day, the leaden sky and empty barn seemed to echo those questions.
